Avaya unveils Avaya & Friends partner alliance awareness initiative

Yellow umbrella

In a bid to drum up some awareness of its partner programmes and to encourage cross-platform communications integrations, Avaya has launched its Avaya & Friends scheme that aims to introduce its wealth of opportunities to end-users.

It brings together everything Avaya offers to partners under one umbrella, including DevConnect, Avaya A.I.Connect, and the Avaya Innovation Partner Program to demonstrate the areas the company is working in to bring innovative products to end-users.

The company argued that although the likes of Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant are proving popular, they’re still very fragmented and not advanced enough to offer as much value as should be possible.

Tanya Lobo, Alliances program leader for EMEA / APAC explained in a blog post announcing Avaya’s new initiative that the enterprise communications world is facing the same problems. Although each individual solution is impressive and holds a lot of value for end users, there’s nothing to bring everything together, with each built for a particular environment rather than offering cross-platform support.

Avaya’s mission is to make it easier for partners to offer a variety of communications systems to enterprises, bringing together all types of partners to integrate their tools on its open-source platform. It will do this by offering industry-specific, ready-made solution sets on its UC and CC platforms, with everything pre-integrated so partners don’t have to worry about cross-compatibility.

“Avaya & Friends is an answer to the problems that our channel partners face when providing their customers with innovative technologies,” Lobo said.

“It’s the umbrella term we’re using to drive our alliance programs, such as Avaya DevConnect, Avaya A.I.Connect, and the Avaya Innovation Partner Program, and it’s designed to show channel partners that we’re making it easier, and cheaper, to deliver genuine innovation to increasingly demanding technology buyers.”
