Computacenter boosts managed services with Mimecast
Computacenter to deliver Mimecast’s cloud-based email security, archiving and continuity services

Computacenter (LON:CCC) has added to its managed services with the signing of cloud-based email provider Mimecast.
The move follows the recent launch of Computacenter cloud computing (C3), and cloud email product, C3Mail. The UK-wide partnership will cover all of Mimecast’s product range including long-term email archiving, security, eDiscovery and continuity. Computacenter says it will be offering Mimecast’s services with an extensive knowledge transfer and training scheme already up and running.
Says Matt Lovell, CTO for Computacenter: “With email volumes growing exponentially within most businesses, having a robust, scalable email archiving and eDiscovery platform has never been more important.
“Our C3 approach supports companies in taking a pragmatic approach to blended IT service delivery, and an important aspect of this is ensuring solid enterprise security.”
On the partnership with Computacenter, Mary Kay Roberto, VP sales North America and Europe for Mimecast says “we look for partners where we can complement their strategy. There’s a great deal of synergy between the organisations.”
Mimecast has seen impressive growth in recent years – by 7,579 percent over the past five years. This, says Roberto, speaks to adoption of the cloud, as an increasing number of enterprises move to cloud-based email – for many their first step into cloud computing.
“[They] are taking a large volume of data out of the datacentre,” says Roberto. “It’s a logical first step.”
