Cohesity appoints new EMEA channel chief

Business handshake

Cohesity is taking its channel responsibilities seriously by expanding its management team, including the appointment of Johannes Kunz as senior director of channel sales of the EMEA region.

Kunz joins Cohesity from Simplivity, where he held the position of vice president of channel sales for EMEA and before that, channel sales, marketing and product marketing at Hitachi Data Systems. He also held management roles at NetApp, CA and Cheyenne Software.

He will lead the company's EMEA channel division, creating new strategies for indirect sales, go-to-market innovation and channel development.

He will bring his channel expertise, as well as his wealth of sales, marketing and management knowledge to the role, helping the company grow its European partner network and build its relationship with its existing channel teams.

Kunz will be joined by fellow Simplivity veterans, Thomas Boele as senior director systems engineering EMEA and Claudia Zieschang as head of EMEA field marketing, who will work closely with Klaus Seidl, VP sales of EMEA at Cohesity to increase the company's footprint in the hyperconverged data space.

“When I joined Cohesity at the end of 2017, I knew that our hyperconverged platform approach and our native integration into the cloud gave us a unique opportunity to start a revolution in the European IT market. However, we can only achieve our ambitious goals with the right people”, said Klaus Seidl.

“I am pleased to welcome three experienced colleagues to the team who, together with me and the rest of the team, will turn the EMEA market for data protection and hyperconverged secondary storage upside down and support our growth objectives in the whole region.”
