SD-WAN, cloud communications and managed security solutions provider Masergy has bolstered its leadership team following the significant growth of its channel programme.

In the last 12 months, the business has doubled its revenue-generating European partners to nearly 80, it revealed, and remains on course to have joint wins with more than 150 partners by the end of 2019.

Attributing its success to a combination of technical excellence and strategic channel support, the firm said it has gained “a lot of traction” in developing alliance relationships in Europe, highlighting its Global premier partnership with Cisco in the collaboration space.

Now, Masergy has announced the appointment of Emily Nerland to lead its UK channel account management team, amid fresh investments across its channel operations.

“We’re amplifying partner revenue capabilities and driving new opportunities in the channel,” said Steve Harrington, EMEA managing director at Masergy. “In order to continue this success, the UK account management team has doubled, and we’ve bolstered our partner training programmes.

“In addition to this investment, I am pleased to announce that Emily Nerland, industry veteran, has joined Masergy to head up the UK channel account management team. Emily has extensive experience working in the UK Channel for several service providers and is perfectly positioned to deliver the Masergy vision in the UK.”

Commenting on her appointment, Nerland said that market opportunity for partners is “boundless”, with Masergy “perfectly positioned” to help them achieve their goals through a combination of industry-leading customer experience and innovative products and services.

Most notably, the provider has placed considerable focus on detailed account mapping, strategic business planning and key joint marketing programmes with its channel partners.

Through a series of on-site and virtual training plus product and technology specific certification programs, partners are equipped with specialist knowledge and the means to sell and promote solutions to enterprise customers globally, Masergy said.
