Entatech has opened its first UK-based datacentre, significantly bolstering its white label cloud service, Entacloud.

Launched in January of this year, the distributor describes Entacloud as a “one-stop-shop” for cloud, cloud management, infrastructure, business applications, security, backup and storage as a service. Developed in conjunction with Egenera’s Xterity Cloud Services, Entacloud offers a range of dedicated, managed, private and hybrid cloud services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DaaS) and Backup as a Service (BaaS) exclusively through the channel.

The new datacentre is in the new LD6 building at Equinix’s facility in Slough, meaning that all UK customers’ data will remain in the UK.

Paul Lloyd, Entacloud’s cloud evangelist, says the move is a major step forward in the firm’s development. “We are now in an even better position to provide our customers with a reliable cloud service – with all aspects now housed within the UK – and we are confident this new announcement will only further boost the business we have received so far,” he comments.

Also new to Entacloud is CloudMigrate, a new migration service that enables users to transition their existing cloud-based or on premise servers to Entacloud’s wholesale managed cloud.
