Culmer joins from Huawei where he recently established its new enterprise division. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Cisco, initially as a sales manager and later as sales operations director. He has also held the positions UK sales director and managing director at Sun Microsystems.
He will report to Mario DiMascio, vice president sales, EMEA, who comments: “Simon is an industry veteran and a passionate salesman. I am confident that with him at the helm of UK and Ireland operation will go from strength-to-strength.”
Adds Culmer: “Avaya has an outstanding reputation in the market. It is my job to make sure that reputation is enhanced through greater sales and greater partner relationships.”
