Avnet Technology Solutions (NYSE: AVT), has today announced that former Magirus UK MD Andrew Binding will join the distie’s EMEA Executive Team, spearheading operations in France, Benelux, Italy and Iberia.
Since Avnet’s acquisition of Magirus in 2012, Binding has led the firm’s EMC, Cisco and VCE relationships within its Enterprise Business Group in EMEA.
Miriam Murphy, who took on the additional responsibility for the region in October 2012 during the Magirus integration process, will now focus on her role as SVP Enterprise Business Group EMEA.
Graeme Watt, president, Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA says appointment will accelerate the organisation’s progress improvement within the South EMEA region.
He adds: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the Avnet TS EMEA Executive Team where he brings considerable experience and expertise as well as adding a strong market knowledge and perspective. We all wish him every success in his new role.”
Magirus CEO Fabian von Kuenheim announced his departure from Avnet in April this year.
