F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) has named former Juniper and Lookout channel exec David Helfer as its new VP of worldwide channels.

Helfer joins former Fortinet exec Peter Brant, who has been named F5’s new SVP of North America sales.

Helfer joins F5 from mobile security software company Lookout, where he served as VP of worldwide channels and managed direct sales for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Lookout, he held a number of senior positions at Juniper Networks, including VP of worldwide channels and commercial sales.

At F5, he will be responsible for global channel strategies, partner engagement, and the expansion of channels operations capabilities worldwide. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, reporting to F5’s EVP of worldwide sales, John DiLullo.

“We welcome Pete and David, two well-known and highly respected global sales executives, to the F5 team,” says DiLullo.

“Their deep understanding of the security and cloud markets and their experience with traditional and emerging channels make them uniquely qualified to help F5 supercharge our sales efforts. The F5 innovation engine continues to produce powerful application delivery, traffic management, and security solutions for our customers, and with David and Pete at the helm of these two critical markets, I have full confidence that our customers and channels will be very well served.”
