Cyber security provider Imperva has announced the appointment of Kirt Jorgenson as its new vice president of EMEA Channel Sales.

The new channel lead will work closely with the company’s partners across the region to create programmes that will help them grow their business with Imperva products, solutions, and services.

He will also scale collaborative go-to-market partner activities to help expand the influence of the Imperva brand across EMEA, the firm said, as well as help partners sell Imperva solutions in line with their business models.

“Our experienced and loyal network of partners are invaluable to Imperva and under Kirt’s leadership, we will continue to help them grow their businesses and take advantage of the market opportunity we all have,” said Spencer Young, EMEA regional vice president at Imperva.

“Our Partners will benefit from Kirt’s deep understanding of the Imperva business globally and the strong relationships he already has with the EMEA Channel community.”

The channel veteran joined Imperva six years ago to develop and lead its global partner marketing team. Most recently, he was responsible for the development and execution of the global channel reseller, distributor, and MSSP programs for the Imperva Partner Ecosystem.

Under his leadership, Imperva’s global partner-sourced revenue grew by double digits, the company revealed, with the programmes helping enable partners to source new business from products such as the Imperva Sonar security platform.

“Kirt is a channel-committed leader with years of cybersecurity experience who understands the challenges partners are facing and how they can differentiate and add value with Imperva products and services,” explained Micheal McCollough, global vice president of Strategic Growth at Imperva.

Before joining the company, Jorgenson spent three years leading channel programmes at Riverbed Technology. Prior to that, he spent 14 years at Cisco, fronting its business development efforts in emerging markets and building programmes to support MSPs.

“I’m excited to take on this new role and work alongside a team committed to our partners’ success,” Jorgenson said. “The EMEA market is ripe with business potential, and I look forward to building deeper relationships with our established partner network to help them capitalise on the market opportunity.”
