Exertis Enterprise has announced an expansion of its partnership agreement with infrastructure software provider Progress to extend the coverage of its NetSecOps products in the UK.

The updated agreement will see the value-added distributor gain increased access to Progress WhatsUp Gold IT monitoring software, as well as Progress’ Flowmon network visibility and security solution.

In an announcement, Exertis said Progress’ sophisticated alerting and reporting capabilities will ensure the availability and security of customers’ end applications and websites – while also allowing them to scale as their workloads change.

The software can also expose ransomware and attacks against mission-critical applications, gain an insight into network traffic, as well as resolve network performance issues, it added.

“Progress strengthens our security portfolio, and the two new additions, Flowmon and WhatsUp Gold, give us the opportunity to better service our partners and their customers with Network Detection & Response (NDR) services and Observability and Monitoring tools, in order to defend against the emerging threats which we see in the landscape,” explained Dominic Ryles, Director of Sales & Commercial, Security, at Exertis Enterprise.

“Progress’ reputation makes it the ideal choice to offer to our customers – its flexibility, ease of installation, and user-friendly features will benefit many customers' setups.”

Progress’ WhatsUp Gold provides users with unified and easy-to-use IT infrastructure monitoring to help IT staff proactively find and fix issues in good time.

Customers have access to its dashboard and interactive map for visibility into the status and performance of networks, servers, storage devices, network traffic, device configurations and applications across on-premises and in the cloud, with a single network interface.

With network security and visibility offering Flowmon, customers can also leverage automated response across hybrid cloud ecosystems.

Additionally, the expanded partnership now offers access to Kemp LoadMaster, which provides cloud-native, virtual and hardware load balancers for flexible application delivery.

“We’re delighted to expand our very successful relationship with Exertis in the UK market,” said Phil Dunlop, Progress’ General Manager for EMEA. “We look forward to working with them and the Exertis partner ecosystem to grow market share for Progress’ portfolio of NDR and network observability solutions.”
