DNS Arrow is claiming a first for to the UK distribution channel; it has expanded its automated licensing renewals system to include VMware support services contracts.

“We are delighted to be the first distributor of this VMware renewals service for our customers in the UK... we are confident that VMware customers will benefit from this significant upgrade in the renewals process.” says Steve Pearce, managing director for DNS Arrow.

“The data we’re seeing through the module thus far indicates that the revenues from VMware renewals for resellers are already showing significant increases,” he adds.

The new module automatically publishes quotes for all service contracts that are within 90 days of expiring, thereby removing the need for manual quote generation for the vast majority of contracts. The system consolidates and presents a single view and status report of all of a reseller’s renewal contracts for VMware and automatically generates notifications when contracts are approaching expiration. The solution reduces the cost of the renewal process for resellers and speeds the renewal process for their customers.

The automated system has been in use for the past several years on service renewals for VMware in Germany.
