CSC CEO has revealed partners, employees and clients are all supportive of the company's acquisition of HPE Enterprise Services, although not much else was said on an earnings call with the IT service business earlier this week.

Mike Lawrie said he's positive about the changes that will happen as a result of the purchase, as are the company's employees and its partners, who have shown commitment to the company's vision. He also said the response from clients has been encouraging too, putting the company in good stead.

"Since we announced our intent to merge, we've seen positive responses really across-the-board," Lawrie said on the call. "The clients are supportive. They see the benefits of bringing together our two companies' offerings and respective capabilities."

"Our employees are excited to complete the work ahead to establish a new dynamic company of such scale and potential," Lawrie continued. "And our partners. We've reached out to our partners, they've reached out to us, and they're eager to work with us on extending their reach in the market."

CSC announced its intent to purchase HPE's Enterprise Services arm in May, when it was announced the company's operations would be examined to ensure it is working as efficiently as possible. Cost savings of $1bn are expected across sales, finance, contracts, facilities, human resources and IT.

"My personal conviction around the strategic rationale and the synergy potential of the merger has, frankly, only increased since our announcement," Lawrie said. "The cultures are more similar than dissimilar, so there are a lot of positives."

The merger is expected to be finalised in March 2017.
