Leading tech distributor Exertis has announced a new distribution deal with TCP Smart, a manufacturer of Wi-Fi enabled smart home automation products.

The agreement means the distributor will now offer a wide range of home automation products to customers, including smart LED bulbs and lamps, smart light switches, smart Wi-Fi plug-in sockets, smart Wi-Fi cameras and doorbells, as well as smart motion sensors.

With the TCP Smart product range, users are able to build a simple and convenient smart home system for app or voice-based control over lighting mood and ambience.

"We are delighted to be able to offer the TCP Smart range to our retailers," said Rod Slater, head of Smart Tech and IoT at Exertis. "TCP Smart products don't require a hub, their products connect directly with a router, making installations much easier.

"Control of lights, switches, sockets and LED lamps can also be activated by voice with compatibility for Google and Alexa. With the TCP Smart range, consumers get a simple and affordable solution to home automation."

With the increasing popularity of smart home products and systems, the Exertis distribution deal provides TCP Smart with the opportunity to broaden its audience of retailers and deliver quality to users, the firm said.

"Consumers want compatible systems in the home that are affordable and easy to install and control," said Jessica Parker, managing director at TCP Smart. "That's exactly what we offer including a brand that has an enviable reputation in providing quality lighting systems."
