Azlan reveals Aruba partner push

TD Azlan has been appointed as a distributor for Aruba Networks’ enterprise-class wireless portfolio.

Aruba was acquired by HP in March 2015, and Azlan says it wants to fast-track any partners of the now spun-off Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) onto the product range as quickly as possible.

It says Aruba’s wireless products have now been fully integrated into the HPE networking portfolio and are available for resellers to take to market. As such, Azlan has created a set of educational and marketing tools to train HPE partners on Aruba products.

“Aruba’s best-of-breed wireless LAN infrastructure and policy management technologies build upon on and enhance HPE’s vision for the unified campus network and bring many new opportunities to HPE partners,” says Jonathan Kaiser, head of Hewlett Packard Enterprise products at Azlan. “They provide an ideal complementary solution for HPE’s converged networking infrastructure and proven wired LAN capabilities, making HPE Networking an even stronger proposition for enterprise customers.”

He continues: “We see this as a very big opportunity indeed for HP partners. The investment Azlan is making and the resources we are providing will enable HPE resellers to learn about Aruba technologies, explain the added value for their customers and start driving incremental business as soon as possible.”

Rival wireless vendor Aerohive recently claimed to have signed up a number of Aruba partners looking for options following the acquisition.

“Partners are choosing Aerohive over Aruba, plus there are larger partners now selling both,” says the firm’s senior international channel marketing manager, Jennifer Capewell, who says some partners are nervous about how HPE will restructure the Aruba channel, as well as “margins being squeezed [and] massive competition now between partners.”

As well as wireless networking, the Aruba range includes enterprise mobility software, security and orchestration solutions.
