Softcat has attained Platinum status from Check Point after growing business with the security software vendor by 301 percent this year.

Check Point awarded Softcat the accreditation this week following a two-year investment in resource and training. The VAR joins only four other Platinum partners: NTT Security (formerly Integralis) HP Enterprise Security Services, Bytes Security Partnerships and Secure Data.

The accreditation is for partners who show expertise across Check Point’s complete portfolio of security products. Explains Softcat network and security specialist Paul Solomon: “Four years after securing the Gold accreditation, and, thanks to our 60-strong team of Check Point sales and support specialists, we’ve reached the next, and highest, level.

“We’re delighted that Check Point has recognised our commitment, business results and software expertise with this accreditation. Now we can prove to customers that we are one of the UK’s top five accredited Check Point resellers, which gives them that much more confidence when purchasing from us.”

Michael Wakefield, Check Point’s head of channel sales, UK and Ireland, adds: “Platinum is the highest accreditation we offer our partners, and Softcat, a long-standing partner, has consistently demonstrated the required levels of expertise to qualify. We look forward to growing our business with Softcat further. We are committed to a continued close relationship with our partners and to reward those that commit to Check Point.”
