IT management and security in the modern age: Moving away from fragmentation towards seamless success
Proper endpoint, user, and business management demands a unified approach

When it comes to managing IT systems and shoring up defenses against cyber threats, every business faces a daily challenge. Keeping pace with these challenges often means adopting new technologies such as AI and automation, or specialized observability tools to improve security posture and control over IT endpoints.
All too often, however, these technologies have been implemented bit by bit – resulting in a patchwork ecosystem of tools that may be hard to navigate or incompatible with each other.
Indeed, software sprawl is now recognized as a major concern for businesses, with IT leaders lamenting the difficulty of maintaining analytics and governance over their growing tech stack and struggling with interoperability issues.
To tackle this challenge in the long term, managed service providers (MSPs) must move toward delivering comprehensive IT management solutions to businesses to simplify operations, while keeping their services affordable.
This is where the Kaseya 365 platform comes in. A unified platform for MSPs and IT professionals, rooted in new technologies such as AI, it brings together a wide range of complementary technologies aimed at IT security, management, automation, and streamlined operations.
Preventing sprawl with a centraliszed system
At its core, Kaseya 365 is a collection of effective tools for businesses, split over three main suites: Endpoint, User, and Ops.
Any of these tools on their own would be beneficial to a business but together they form a comprehensive platform. Based on needs expressed in Kaseya’s conversations with its nearly 50,000 customers from across the world and different sectors, these three suites reduce business complexity across any organization’s IT infrastructure.
Take Datto’s Endpoint Backup, Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, available within Kaseya 365 Endpoint. The services work to securely back up core business data while managing endpoints, either directly or, in the case of MSPs, on behalf of a customer.
Of course, this only addresses part of the picture when it comes to endpoint management, with additional pressures such as keeping endpoints patched against threats high on the priority list for any IT team. Without adequate patch management, perimeter security measures can only be so effective, which is why this is also included as a feature within the platform via Kaseya virtual systems administrator (VSA).
This means that from a single point of access, administrators can quarantine users, configure user privileges, and issue patches, while MSPs can use the platform to manage and backup Windows endpoints at an affordable cost.
Reaching people where it counts
While ‘a chain is only as strong as its weakest link’ may be a tired phrase, this isn’t a saying without merit. Human error is still the number one concern among IT professionals in North America, the EU, and the UK, according to a 2024 Kaseya survey, with respondents having noted poor user practices or lack of strong security skills as a major concern.
The same survey found threats such as phishing, malware, and business email compromise (BEC) top the list of threats that worry security teams the most.
This is why Kaseya 365 User comes with a plethora of tools aimed at preventing user-exploited attacks from taking place, from the automated phishing defense tool Graphus, to Kaseya’s own cybersecurity awareness training BullPhish ID – capable of reducing staff-linked cyber attacks by 70%.
Prevention might be better than a cure, but MSPs adopting Kaseya 365 User can also make use of the extensive response tools present within the platform for those incidents where breaches do occur.
SaaS Alerts uses machine learning to automatically sever compromised accounts from business apps, while Dark Web ID trawls the dark web for leaked business credentials such as stolen passwords, IP addresses, or contact information, so affected employees can be notified and secured before they become cyber victims.
Beyond the immediate pressures of securing endpoints and protecting staff, all organizations must work to improve the resilience of their business operations and users – the core focus of Kaseya 365 Ops.
Tools such as BMS, IT Glue, and Autotask – all available within Kaseya 365 Ops – use automation and AI to reduce the burden of IT tickets, help back-office staff find the right documentation for each task, and automate billing to eliminate error and speed up revenue collection.
It’s so important that businesses focus on streamlining these core business functions if they are to improve their revenue picture and ease the administrative burden on staff. Beyond cybersecurity, modern business resilience means the capacity for sustainable, scalable growth into the future, which is readily supported by the tools available in the platform.
Because these are integrated offerings, they work in tandem with one another through the platform. This is an easy sell for MSPs, as customers can get straight to work enjoying the benefits of the tools and justifying the cost of their Kaseya 365 subscription.
Transparent costs, clear rewards
It’s by now well established that subscription-based platforms, such as Kaseya 365, offer more stability, interoperability, and faster return on investment when it comes to building IT resilience.
Indeed, the piecemeal approach to IT management and endpoint security tends to be more expensive for businesses. Organizations with a patchwork of different tools and services within their stack may also struggle to stay up to date across the various payment models, contracts, and licenses for which they have signed up.
Kaseya 365 can save organizations up to 70% compared to the cost of operating a fragmented mix of tools, even before factoring in hidden costs associated with poor security oversight, time wasted on manual tasks, or pricing changes across individual third party tools.
This is the heart of the platform, which doesn’t just bring together tools, software, or services but combines them in a way that can truly reduce complexity and unlock seamless resilience within an organization’s stack. No matter how many or few tools you’re looking to provide, it’s clear that Kaseya 365 can meet demand without raising the bar for customer adoption.
