SPIXII wins the 01/10/100 Pitch-Off at London Tech Week 2017

The inaugural 01/10/100 Pitch-Off last night was won by SPIXII. The automated insurance intelligent agent company competed against two other startups, picking up the award from a panel of judges from Samsung, Vodafone, Rooster Punk and Supper Club.

SPIXII's app features a simple chatbot on your phone that talks you through selecting insurance, figuring out what you need. It's designed to ultimately make the process of buying insurance fully automated while retaining a human-like conversation with clear help and advice. Ultimately the company aims for the app to be proactive, for example detecting when you're abroad and giving you a nudge if you don't have the kind of travel insurance you need.

The judges commended SPIXII on its clear presentation, obvious application to industries beyond insurance, and simple, persuasive messaging. The company will now receive a package of mentoring from Samsung and its partners over the coming year, with its story being following on Alphr and IT Pro.

Co-hosted by Alphr and IT Pro and sponsored by Samsung, 01/10/100 was launched in 2016 to celebrate the diversity and talent of the UK's startup culture. The event is in its second year with 2017 marking the debut of the Pitch-Off format.
