Bytes Technology Group revenues up 14%
Increase down to growing business while streamlining services

Bytes Technology Group has announced its revenues topped £163m in the year 2014/2015, with operating profit up to £7m in the 12 months.
In the period, the company decided to streamline the services it offers, opting to stick to software and services. As a result, it decided to scrap its non-core Xerox Reseller business, five years after it joined the printer company's XPS scheme.
Microsoft-related sales, which represented more than half of the company's revenues, rose by 30 percent with specific growth areas in Azure and Office 365 products. Byte's scottish operation is now the largest Microsoft Reseller in the enterprise and is now working on public sector growth in the region.
Other key parts of the Bytes Technology Group's business were via the Symantec, VM Ware, Checkpoint, Citrix, Oracle, Mimecast & IBM software lines.
In the services part of the business, the biggest growth areas were software asset management services and security based consultancy and help desk services. This part of the business accounted for seven per cent of revenues for Byte Technology Group and reflected an increase of 75 percent year-on-year.
Bytes Technology Group has also grown its business, recruiting 20 new sales heads and taking on addition staff at its Surrey head office and its regional York and Manchester offices. The company is now predicting a turnover of £180m in the financial year 2015-2016 and has plans to acquire new companies in order to keep up the growth.
