HPE expands partner ecosystem amid GreenLake updates
HPE GreenLake for RedHat OpenShift Container Platform will offer increased flexibility and scalability, HPE says

HPE has announced an expansion of its partner ecosystem on HPE GreenLake Marketplace, among a host of updates to its edge-to-cloud platform.
Detailing the enhancements at its Discover Frankfurt 2022 event, the tech giant highlighted the new HPE GreenLake for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, and HPE GreenLake for VMware.
First announced at Discover 2022 earlier this year, HPE GreenLake for Red Hat OpenShift offers self-service management of containers across edge, data centre, and hybrid cloud environments, designed to provide a foundation for application development and hybrid cloud innovation.
Available from Q1 2023, HPE says customers will benefit from increased flexibility, scalability, as well as optimised standardised container configurations.
The firm also highlighted HPE GreenLake for VMware, which it first announced back in November. The offering pulls together GreenLake and VMware cloud into a fully integrated solution with a pay-as-you-go hybrid cloud consumption model.
VMware Cloud will be fully integrated across the HPE GreenLake portfolio including HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise, HPE said.
HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise
HPE also announced updates to its HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise platform, described by the company as an “out-of-the-box private cloud” that offers “optimised performance, open choice, and low and predictable TCO”.
The offering now features expanded container deployment option for Kubernetes with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) Anywhere from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native toolchains. The additions will support customers' DevOps, as well as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.
The platform offers six workload-optimised instances for general purpose, compute, memory, and storage, complete with simple rate card pricing through a pay-as-you-go model.
HPE said enhancement to consumption analytics delivers improved usage and cost analytics of applications for the three hyperscaler public cloud vendors, which includes easier showback reporting and dashboard insights to help customers improve capacity planning and budgeting across their hybrid environment.
“Customers recognise the importance of a hybrid cloud operating model for their digital transformation, and HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is the only solution that brings the best hybrid cloud capabilities from edge to core and across multiple clouds, delivered as a cloud service,” said Vishal Lall, senior vice president and general manager at HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions.
Elsewhere, HPE also announced the availability of HPE GreenLake for Data Fabric and HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics through an early access programme.
