Logicalis recruits Fujitsu’s Richard Aston to drive services business
Richard Aston joins Logicalis as vice president of services

Logicalis has recruited Fujitsu exec Richard Aston to drive expansion of Logicalis’ services business in the UK.
Formerly head of solutions and architecture at Fujitsu, Aston (pictred) takes on the role of vice president of services at Logicalis as the company looks to align its service offerings under a single brand, Optimal.
Commenting on his appointment, Aston says: “Organisations today want to gain maximum business value from their investments in IT and to have cost-effective and efficient services that will deliver real value to their customers and stakeholders. They are also looking to drive innovation and business advantage through the appropriate use of IT technology and services, and Logicalis has a fantastic capability that can be leveraged to help them achieve this goal.
“I look forward to working with my fellow members of the Senior Management Team to grow this important part of the business.”
Aston will report directly to Logicalis UK managing director Mark Starkey, who comments: “Globally, as Logicalis looks to standardise its services to provide customers with a common experience and single point of engagement through its Optimal Services Framework, Logicalis in the UK is committed to ensuring its teams consist of the industry’s most capable service professionals. We believe Richard is a shining example of this in the industry.
“Logicalis has a customer centric approach, where we aim to build strategic partnerships with our clients, built on trust and a first class experience. The Services organisation is a major part of our overall proposition and revenue. I’m confident that Richard, along with the rest of the Services Leadership Team, has the expertise to propel the company forward.”
Almost 400 people now work in Logicalis’ services organisation in the UK.
