Cambium Networks taps up Config as EMEA distie
The partnership will help expand Cambium Networks' reach across Europe and Africa
Config has announced it will offer Cambium Networks' entire wireless networking portfolio in a new distribution agreement to help boost the networking business’s Europe and Africa operations.
Config will use its extensive reseller network to reach businesses Cambium Networks hasn't previously been able to tap into across new territories including Tunisia, Algeria, Switzerland and French-speaking Africa.
It will target resellers covering IT security, networking, IP systems, IT outsourcing and video surveillance, which it feels are best aligned with Cambium's product offerings, hoping they can sell-in to customers needing to build affordable, reliable, high-performance connectivity.
“As a major player in the IT distribution market with more than 20 years of technological expertise, Config is an ideal partner for us as we expand across France and Africa,” said Fabien Garcia, Cambium’s regional sales director.
“Config has a team of 10 sales engineers and 10 pre-sales engineers who are highly tuned to the wireless market. Cambium Networks’ considerable portfolio will allow Config to offer a new, complete end-to-end solution to their VARs.”
Config will distribute Cambium's networking offerings including its core networking products ePMP and cnPilot to niches including service providers and industrial, enterprise and government network operators. These Point-to-Point (PTP) series solutions offer FIPS 140-2-approved security to help those in the public sector protect their network against potential malicious activity.
“Cambium’s portfolio of products is extremely impressive and perfectly addresses the needs of our markets, which include hospitality, education, healthcare, Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) and video surveillance,” said Pascal Barascud, regional director at Config.
