Searchlight Security rebrands as Searchlight Cyber
The dark web security specialist unveils image overhaul that includes a brand-new logo, website, and product design
Dark web threat intelligence provider Searchlight Security is now known as Searchlight Cyber following a complete overhaul of its brand and visual identity.
The revamp includes the launch of a new company logo and website, as well as an update to its product design. The name change also aligns its legal entity in both the UK and the US.
In an announcement, Searchlight said its new website is designed to act as a “knowledge base” for security professionals to learn more about the field of dark web threat intelligence, with MSSPs able to efficiently access resources such as reports, webinars, videos, blogs, and case studies.
CEO Ben Jones said the rebrand caps what has been a “very exciting year” for Searchlight, with 2022 bringing considerable growth for the business.
“In this year alone, our headcount has increased by more than 150 percent, we have grown our customer base in both the UK and US, and we’ve launched exciting capabilities in our products,” he said.
“This new brand reflects the maturity of the company and our mission to help protect society from dark web threats, with our new website in particular geared around the value and insight that we can deliver to our customers.”
Founded in 2017, Searchlight Cyber specialises in providing organisations with actionable dark web threat intelligence to help identify and prevent criminal activity, working with MSSPs, government, and law enforcement, as well as enterprises to help highlight threats and prevent attacks.

Recently, the firm launched a new Ransomware Search and Insights offering - an enhancement to its Cerberus security platform that provides users with a consolidated view of the dark web activity of ransomware groups.
Searchlight said its new look better reflects the “business it is today” but its mission to protect society from the threats of the dark web extends to its new brand.
“In developing our new brand and website we made a very conscious decision to focus on the value we can deliver to our customers and the wider security community,” Jones said.
“Our objective was to make the new website as intuitive and easy to use as possible to help our audiences (enterprises, MSSPs, law enforcement, and government agencies) access the information that will help them in their own missions to combat dark web threats.”
