Immersive Labs continues leadership shakeup with double hire
Eric Johnson joins as chief revenue officer, while Julie Chapman becomes SVP of customer experience
Immersive Labs has announced a brace of appointments to its executive leadership team, with Eric Johnson joining as chief revenue officer and Julie Chapman taking the role of senior vice president of customer experience.
The new executives will work to accelerate global revenue growth, drive customer acquisition and retention, as well as expand its routes to market for the business.
Back in October 2022, Immersive Labs announced it had raised $66 million in capital to continue growing its Cyber Workforce Resilience platform, alongside the appointments of Sandra McDevitt as chief human resources officer, and Lucian Lui as chief marketing officer.
Now, with its latest additions, the firm said it's adding further expertise, insights, and experience to its leadership team.
“Eric and Julie join Immersive Labs at a pivotal time when organisations are increasingly focused on building cyber resilience across their teams and having the metrics to prove it,” said James Hadley, CEO at Immersive Labs.
“Their extensive experience makes them a perfect match for our go-to-market strategy, and they will serve as champions for our customers, helping them achieve their key business outcomes.”
A highly-experienced CRO and board member, Johnson adds more than two decades of experience driving revenue at high-growth, enterprise-level companies.

“I am drawn to Immersive Labs’ unique approach to cyber security – one that puts people, rather than tech stacks, at the heart of everything,” Johnson said.
“I am excited to bring the value of Immersive Labs to more customers around the world, and help them safeguard their people, revenues, and brand reputations.”
A seasoned customer experience executive, Chapman brings 20 years’ experience leading high-performing teams in the tech industry, from scaling start-ups to managing expansion for large global brands. Previously, she has held leadership roles at IBM, Adobe, Marketo, and Interos.
“Cyber leaders face increased pressures to build and prove cyber preparedness across the workforce, and they need more support,” said Chapman. “I am looking forward to meeting with current and prospective Immersive Labs customers to learn more about their needs and how we can best address them.”
